JOHN STACKMAN
President

John Stackman lends his 30 years of experience and expertise in all aspects of home construction to every home he builds. John is a native Bellevue resident who has chosen to make the Bellevue area a lifelong home for his family. His wife is also a native of the area and their daughter attends Clyde Hill Elementary. John's career in custom home construction began in 1978 when he worked for a small custom homebuilder and mastered the technical elements of fine craftsmanship. Every home was constructed from start to finish with great personal attention to detail and little involvement from subcontractors.

In 1984, John began his longtime business relationship with Greg Newhall and Gary Jones. He gained management experience in residential home building, managing multiple housing developments and subcontractors. Encore Custom Homes was launched in 1990, designing and building homes with its own staff. Encore's first Street of Dreams home was built in 1995 and was followed by 3 other notable Street of Dreams homes. They held the record for the most awards given to one Street of Dreams builder for many years. By 2000, John was made partner of Newhall, Jones and Stackman, LLC and Encore Custom Homes. The company continues its tradition of building longstanding relationships with past homeowners, subcontractors, architects, real estate professionals, as well as city and county licensing, permitting and zoning divisions.

"WORKING WITH CLIENTS IS THE HIGHLIGHT OF EACH NEW PROJECT...WE TALK A LOT WITH CLIENTS..."

Encore Custom Homes takes pride in exacting standards and detail, regardless of size, lot constraints or architectural style. John involves homeowners in every stage of the process. He assists buyers with lot feasibility and works closely with the architect, engineer and designer to achieve every vision and expectation of the buyer.

"... SMALL COMPANY SIZE WITH A BIG HISTORY OF CLIENT SATISFACTION..."

Communication is the key to building longterm relationships based on trust. Working with clients is the highlight of each new project. Our small company size with a big history of client satisfaction is invaluable to our clients.

Clients can expect to be as involved as they like and are kept informed through email, phone conversations and site meetings. We talk a lot with clients, striving to create a home as unique as they are. We build homes as if they were being built for ourselves. For example, we discuss site location, the foundation and framing details during our weekly site meetings. Other conversations might include how a view might be captured by window placement and design, the lighting of kitchen work areas or the height of showerheads. Every detail is important. The result is a home of timeless beauty, lasting impressions and livability which exceeds expectations.

John enjoys the challenge of working with different people and personalities. The reward is establishing trust and giving homeowners homes they cherish. He would be honored to bring his experience and expertise of many past home projects to anyone seeking to build a custom home.
